GREENVILLE, S.C. - Phillips Petroleum last month extended its outsourcing contract with AMECO, based here, for five years. AMECO has been providing complete outsourcing of mobile equipment, including rentals, tool and equipment repairs, maintenance, tool distribution and fueling, to Phillips' facility in Borger, Texas.
AMECO began its outsourcing relationship with Bartlesville, Okla.-based Phillips in 1995 by purchasing the entire equipment fleet within the Borger refinery. AMECO signed an initial five-year agreement with Phillips and set up its own on-site facility to handle Phillips' complete tool and equipment needs at that plant.
"We maintain our commitment to continuous improvement of services and cost reduction," said Gary Bernardez, vice president of AMECO's fleet outsourcing. "This contract extension with Phillips Petroleum exemplifies our company's mission to deliver integrated equipment and tool outsourcing solutions to the industrial market."
AMECO also supplies Phillips' other facilities, including plants in Sweeney and Pasadena, Texas, and Guyama, Puerto Rico, on a one-on-one, nonexclusive rental basis.
No. 9 on the RER 100, AMECO has outsourcing relationships with industrial, mining and construction companies in North America, South America and Asia.
