ASHEVILLE, N.C. — Volvo Construction Equipment Rents last month opened new rental centers in Winfield, British Columbia, and Southborough, Mass.

The new Winfield rental center is locally owned and operated by Larry Cormier. In addition to Volvo construction equipment, it will carry a comprehensive line of essential equipment for the construction, commercial, industrial and homeowner markets.

The new Volvo Rents equipment rental center in Southborough, Mass., is the company's second independently operated rental center in the state; the new center is co-located with an existing Volvo Construction Equipment & Services operation.

“We are excited to expand the business into Boston's Metro West area,” said Todd Miceli, co-owner. “This new location will provide our rental customers who work on jobsites in the area with faster access to equipment delivery and service.”

New England Equipment Rentals, owned by franchise principals Todd Miceli and Matt Carretero, opened its first Volvo Rents center in Haverhill, Mass., in December 2005. As with the first store, the new Volvo Rents center brings to market Volvo's extensive line of compact construction equipment as well as a comprehensive line of essential equipment and tools for the construction, commercial, industrial and homeowner markets to the area.

“This move brings benefits both to our customers and to Volvo Construction Equipment & Services' customers,” said Carretero. “VCES customers now have access to a full line of general construction equipment.”
