JLG Industries introduces the Model 20DVL Axxessor driveable vertical personnel lift designed for various types of overhead work.

“Vertical mast products are important to the rental industry because they represent a high return for a small investment,” says Jim Jobes, public relations director, Industrial Marketing Services. “In contrast to other aerial work platforms, they are relatively inexpensive, yet they can be rented for a higher rate.”

The new personnel lift has a 19-foot, 6-inch platform height, a 350-pound platform capacity and is only 29 1/2 inches wide, allowing it to fit through standard doors. In a stowed configuration, the lift drives at 2 1/2 mph and has the power to climb grades as steep as 20 percent.

Designed for slab operation in construction and maintenance, the lift uses maintenance-free deep cycle batteries and has a built-in automatic charger with a short five-hour recharge capability. Additionally, it has direct electric drive for long battery duty cycles.

The JLG Point & Go single joystick combines drive and steer controls and also controls the platform elevation with variable up and down speeds. With steering provided through differential-speed, counter-rotating, rear-drive wheels, the personnel lift has a zero turning radius for superior maneuverability in confined locations.

Other features include oversized anodized mast sections with lubrication-free, dry sliding guide blocks that eliminate scheduled lubrication for the guide system, wide non-marking tires for a soft ride and an automatic JLG pothole protection system.
