The self-sharpening chisels make resharpening and rehardening unnecessary, resulting in high performance levels throughout their life. The chisels increase the working length of flat and wide-flat chisels by 100 percent and the moil point can wear up to four inches in length while maintaining a point suitable for breaking concrete. Over the chisel’s life, a customers’ chiseling efficiency and removal rate increases by up to 30 percent compared with a standard chisel, meaning a tool will be used up to 30-percent less while accomplishing the same work. The chisel’s design helps prevent jamming in base materials, which helps reduce jobsite interruptions and the risk of tool damage.

The engine allows operators to match power and fuel economy to their application by choosing between three power curves (max, standard and economy power), and four work modes (max, standard, economy and auto). In auto mode, the electronically controlled engine adjusts between power curves to move the maximum amount of material per pound of fuel.
