Haulotte Group has acquired 100 percent of the shares of its Turkish distributor Acarlar Makine, created in 2003 by Group Acar. Acarlar Makine offers a wide range of people-lifting equipment and has been the exclusive dealer of Haulotte since 2003.
Acarlar Makine is headquartered in Istanbul and has 34 employees in four branches in Turkey. Since April 2014, Haulotte Group has owned 50 percent of the share capital of Acarlar.
“This acquisition is in line with the participation taken in 2014 in a market that has now confirmed its potential of growth,” said Alexandre Saubot, deputy CEO of Haulotte Group. “Despite recent variations of the Turkish lira, we believe that the long-term perspectives in Turkey remain attractive for Haulotte Group.”
Haulotte Group is based in France, with U.S. headquarters in Virginia Beach, Va.
