Leading Australia equipment rental provider Coates Hire has acquired the Force General Rentals business assets in both Townsville and Darwin, Australia, to form one cohesive hire solutions company. The acquisition provides a broader range of tools and equipment to Coates Hire customers in the Townsville and Darwin markets.
Force will continue to retain existing access operations and also trade as Force Access.
Coates Hire will occupy the site in Townsville while the Force General rental equipment in Northern Territory will be available through the existing Coates Hire Darwin branch in Mataram St, Winnellie.
Adrian Manning, Coates Hire executive general manager, North, said that the acquisition will help Coates Hire better equip its customers in Townsville and Darwin, while allowing the company to further strengthen its local offering with particular focus in the trade markets on equipment such as demolition saws, small earthmoving machines and compressors.
One of Australia’s largest equipment hire suppliers, Coates Hire operates an extensive branch network of 230-plus branches nationwide, with more than 1.5 million pieces of equipment covering both general hire and specialist equipment requirements.
