International rental giant Ramirent has signed a three-year nationwide cooperation agreement with building contractor Consto AS in Norway for Consto to outsource its equipment and machines to Ramirent.

International rental giant Ramirent has signed a three-year nationwide cooperation agreement with building contractor Consto AS in Norway for Consto to outsource its equipment and machines to Ramirent. The deal includes an option for an additional three-year extension.

Consto was founded in Tromsø, Norway in 2006, and also operates in Oslo, Kirkenes, Narvik, Bodø and Alesund.

“The strategy of Consto is to rent equipment rather than own it, but as a consequence of an earlier purchase the company owns equipment and machinery in Bodø,” said Jari Johansen of Consto. Therefore as part of the agreement, Consto outsources its equipment and machines to Ramirent.

“Constro is a modern professional building contractor and we are happy to further develop our close relationships with them,” said Trond Thormodrud, Ramirent’s director for north and west regions in Norway.

Bjørn Larsen, managing director of Ramirent AS said that the acquisition of customers’ equipment and machine fleets is part of Ramirent’s strategy to grow and add value to the customer’s business. “By outsourcing their machines to Ramirent, customers can release tied-up capital and increase efficiency by using Ramirent’s wide range of rental equipment and related services for their projects,” said Larsen.

Ramirent, based in Vantaa, near Helsinki, Finland, has operations in 13 Nordic, central and Eastern European countries.
