Worldwide industrial services company Harsco Corp. last week said its Huennebeck division obtained a contract to provide nearly 325,000 square feet of scaffolding over the next 18 months for the construction of the new Sea Towers office and apartment complex in the coastal city of Gdynia, which will become Poland’s tallest building outside of Warsaw.

The building consists of two high-rise towers linked through a connecting passageway.

The order strengthens Harsco’s presence as one of the leading access services and rental equipment suppliers in Eastern Europe. For the first quarter of this year, Harsco’s Access Services sales rose 40 percent year over year, while operating income for the group jumped 109 percent.

The group consists of Europe-based Huennebeck, which Harsco acquired in November 2005, the United Kingdom-based SGB division and the North America-based Patent division. The three divisions operate from a global network of more than 200 rental, sales and service branches in 29 countries, including 25 branches in eight Eastern European countries. The Access Services Group serves the scaffolding, forming and shoring requirements of the non-residential construction and industrial plant maintenance markets worldwide.

Patent, focusing on the North American market, is No. 18 on the RER 100. Harsco is based in Harrisburg, Pa.
