Ameco Opens Office in Peru

Greenville, S.C.-based Ameco recently announced it was opening a permanent office in Peru, three years after first entering the South American market. The new company, Choice Equipos y Servicios, is a partnership with Choice Cargo, a local transport and logistics company.

Based in Lima, the new location will support infrastructure, energy and mining projects in the region. It will offer equipment, tools, parts, maintenance, repair, consumables and safety supplies, as well as operator training.

In other company news, Ameco named Ken Branham vice president of sales for North America and the Caribbean. He will also oversee the company’s operations fleet services and corporate marketing. Prior to joining Ameco, Branham was vice president of global sales and marketing for Trelleborg Engineered Systems before joining Ameco.

Vincent Lo Cicero joined the company as sales manager for Africa and the Middle East. Lo Cicero relocated from Barcelona Spain, where he was previously managing director of Linde.
