TX842 telescopic handler
Case Construction Equipment
The new TX842 from Case works productively and cost effectively in a variety of load-and-carry and material-handling jobs requiring precise maneuverability, superior traction and lift capacity. The single joystick provides one-hand control of both the boom and attachment for fast and precise positioning, while the low-boom design, coupled with the high operator’s station, enhances stability and visibility. Three available steering modes add to the overall versatility and productivity of these machines. The TX842 comes equipped with a high-performance Case Family IV 4.5-liter turbocharged engine, delivering 108 net horsepower. The full powershift transmission on the units features four forward and three reverse gears, providing smooth, on-the-go forward-reverse shifting for more productive operation, reaching a top speed of 22 mph in forward and 14 mph in reverse. The TX842 has an operating weight of 24,930 pounds, a maximum lift height of 42 feet, a forward reach of 29 feet and a maximum lift capacity of 8,000 pounds.
G5-18A
JLG Industries
JLG G5-18A Super Compact Telehandler boasts a 5,500-pound maximum lifting capacity and 1,850-pound capacity at the fully extended reach of almost 11 feet; the best capacity in the compact telehandler class. The machine comes standard with three operator-selectable steering modes — 4-wheel circle, 4-wheel crab and 2-wheel steering — and has a 126-inch turning radius. The G5-18A’s 18-foot maximum boom height and almost 11 feet of reach allows the operator to access hard-to-reach areas. The compact dimensions of the machine, 146-inches long by 71-inches wide by 75-inches high, make it a great choice in difficult-to-maneuver work sites. At a gross vehicle weight under 11,000 pounds, the G5-18A can be lifted by crane at most jobsites for use on higher-level floors. The G5-18A is offered with several available attachments including a general-purpose bucket, a light material bucket, a grapple bucket, various carriages, a crane hook and it can be configured to accommodate skid-steer attachments.
Super Jawz Grabbing Tool
Star Hill Solutions
Star Hill Solutions introduces Super Jawz Grabbing Tool, which was developed to meet the increasing demand for a grabbing tool with larger lifting capacity (10,000 pounds) and an opening of 58 inches at the tips that is suited for use on large wheel loaders and excavators. The patented Star Hill Jawz Grabbing Tool is an hydraulic front-end attachment with two fingers that open and close on a common plane for land management tasks such as removing invasive trees and brush, fence posts, stakes and moving large rocks or boulders. The wheel loader version, Model C3700CQA, of the Jawz Grabbing Tool, is designed with a quick coupling to accommodate wheel loaders and excavators. Super Jawz is ruggedly designed with the large equipment rental firms and heavy equipment operators in mind. Jawz fingers are 1.5-inch thick T-1 steel, and include a protective guard plate covering hoses and connectors. No longer will wheel operators have to push and roll boulders to get them in place because the Super Jawz easily accomplishes this task. The Super Jawz Grabbing Tool is a wheel loader and excavator attachment for grabbing and removing invasive trees, shrubs, brush and hedges, roots and all. It is designed to be more efficient than a shear, tree saw, or cutter because it doesn’t leave the roots in the ground. Super Jawz is designed for demolition projects where heavy equipment is needed.
TA30 articulated dump truck
Terex Construction Americas
Terex announces the addition of the TA30 articulated dump truck (ADT) with the unique Terex independent, front suspension system with integral wet-disc brakes to its ADT product family. Terex TA articulated haulers are fitted with the latest Tier-3 engines for optimum performance and fuel efficiency. The TA30 has the 350-hp Cummins QSM11 engine and a maximum payload of 30.9 tons. The Terex independent front-suspension system, which was developed in conjunction with Timoney Mobility Systems of Navan (Ireland), is a purpose-designed, parallel-linkage coil-spring system. This system addresses the increasing emphasis on driver comfort. It also significantly adds to the potential for increased productivity by providing a smooth ride and improved handling, which can result in faster cycle times. Another important feature of the latest generation of Terex articulated haulers is the provision of all-round, fully enclosed wet-disc brakes on all wheels of these haulers, which provide long-life and fade-free braking. This improves not only overall braking performance and operating efficiency, but it also greatly increasing service life and reducing operating costs.
