Salt Lake City-based Diamond Rental last week announced the opening of a new branch in Murray, Utah, a small city eight miles south of Salt Lake City. The facility was formerly occupied by Neff Rental and is adjacent to I-15.

“Our contractor-focused business has grown dramatically in recent years, and this location will allow us to better serve the needs of these commercial and industrial customers,” said Leonard Sedillo, general manager of Diamond Rental’s tool and equipment division. “The do-it-yourselfers, contractors and commercial accounts in Murray will now have a full-service rental store nearby.”

“In our new Murray location, we have both another conveniently located Diamond Rental store and a central hub that can support all of our other Wasatch Front locations,” added Mark Clawson, Diamond president. “Our smaller, neighborhood-focused rental centers can now call on the resources of a much larger hub location to serve their customers’ needs. Adding equipment and facilities in order to better meet customer demand is a key component of our growth strategy.”

The facility is on 2.5 acres of land and the building has about 3,000 square feet of office and showroom space and about 8,000 square feet of shop and warehouse space.

Diamond, which now has 12 branches, is No. 78 on the RER 100.
