David Duncan, president of Toromont Energy Systems, died suddenly last week of a heart attack at the age of 57. Toromont, which owns Caterpillar dealerships covering several Canadian provinces, acquired Lock Refrigeration, of which Duncan was president, in 1990. Duncan worked for Toromont and predecessor companies for more than 33 years.

Duncan resided in Calgary, Alberta. He is survived by his wife Patricia, daughter Melanie Helfrich, son David, and two grandchildren.
