Seattle-based Power Climber, a division of SafeWorks, LLC recently hired Eric Thormann as managing director.
Thormann brings extensive international business credentials to Power Climber. Most recently, he was vice president after sales services for Trane Europe with the Trane group (formerly American Standard Companies) and served as a member of the leadership team. Thormann also held general management and sales and marketing roles with Carrier, Volvo and Union Carbide.
“Eric’s extensive business development experience across reseller and end-user groups strengthens Power Climber’s continued market leadership in powered access solutions and our growing wind business,” said Scott Farrell, president and CEO. “His record of growth through focused programs that drive benefit to customers and are built on robust business processes fits SafeWorks’ strategic intent.”
The company also announced that Germain Vanhulle, general manager of Power Climber, will retire in 2008 after more than 24 years with the company.
“I want to personally thank Germain for the tremendous job he has done in founding our international presence and in building, leading, and growing this important business over the years,” said Farrell.
Vanhulle will continue to work with Power Climber for the next several months.
