Supported by Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based NationsRent, last night’s episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition documented the Bountiful, Utah, home remodel of the Harrison family. While recovering from emergency surgery, Gordon Harrison watched an episode of the show and thought to himself, I could do that. And so he did, by remodeling the kitchen of a neighborhood family.
Just one month, however, after Gordon started his own cabinetry business, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. In between surgery, providing for his family, and helping out his neighbors, Gordon's own small, 84-year-old bungalow had fallen into disrepair. Seeing this, his neighbors decided to submit an application to Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on behalf of the family, describing why the Harrison’s deserved the opportunity.
Using equipment provided by NationsRent, Salt Lake City-based Okland Construction Co. acted as general contractor for the project.
“NationsRent has a long tradition of giving back to those communities who have supported us over the years,” said John Jackson, west regional vice president for NationsRent.
