Gibbs’ True Value Hardware of Grayson, Ky., has started a Just Ask Rental counter, the Journal-Times has reported. Owner C.C. Gibbs said customers all too often buy machines such as tillers and then only use them once a year. By enabling them to rent equipment and tools, the customers have more resources for home projects and are more likely to increase rental activity, Gibbs said.
Gibbs also offers party rental supplies such as bounce houses and popcorn makers.
Gibbs carefully tracks missed rentals to have a better idea about what tools and machines to add to the inventory.
Gibbs True Value Hardware and Just Ask Rental are open seven days a week.
