Skyworks is preparing to open a new branch in Washington, N.J., in the northwestern part of the state, not far from the Pennsylvania border, CEO Jerry Reinhart told RER. Reinhart said the branch is about a month away from opening and Skyworks is negotiating a five-year lease on the property. The branch will be the ninth for the fast-growing aerial rental specialist based in Buffalo, N.Y.

“The location is between interstates 78 and 80, not far from Allentown, Pa., yet we can still reach the Newark market,” Reinhart told RER. He added that the new facility is 24,000 square feet, about twice the size of the typical Skyworks branch. The company wasn’t looking for such a large branch, Reinhart said, but the building was available and fit its needs.

Reinhart said business is looking up for the company, which enjoyed a solid fourth quarter after a fairly slow year.

Skyworks has branches in Albany, Rochester and Syracuse, N.Y.; Columbus and Toledo, Ohio; Manassas, Va.; and Pittsburgh. It is No. 70 on the RER 100.
