The Doosan DX300LC excavator is designed with performance and comfort enhancements, including interim Tier 4 technologies. Powered by a 213-hp, 6-cylinder Doosan DL08K water-cooled diesel engine that has been optimized for use with a cooled exhaust gas recirculation system, diesel oxidation catalyst and diesel particulate filter, the DX300LC is designed for road building, site development, oil and gas pipeline development and other construction applications.
Performance improvements include a 6-percent increase in hydraulic pressure from the hydraulic pump; a 7-percent swing torque increase, allowing the excavator to swing uphill more easily; a 5-percent digging force increase; a 2-percent increase in lifting capacity; and 3-percent more boom speed.
“The Doosan DX300LC's performance and specifications make it suitable to handle most all attachments,” says Chad Ellis, Doosan Heavy product manager. “This is a very versatile machine to cover a large amount of rental applications. The monitor in the DX300LC allows the operator to select predefined attachment settings with the push of a button. Ten attachments can be input into the system, five single-flow and five two-way flow. This allows the operator to match machine and attachment performance by limiting the maximum flow and pressure that the machine will provide each attachment.”
In addition, Doosan further enhanced comfort by adding seat adjustment options, and a thickened dampening plate on the cabin mounting mechanism, which reduces cabin vibration by 20 percent. The cabin size has also increased by more than 6 percent, and door, front and rear windows are adjustable.
