BoomNation Raises $5 Million in Seed Round Led by Callais Capital

BoomNation – a new mobile app community connecting tradespeople with employers who are looking for a better way to hire qualified skilled workers, share content and enhance project communications – announces a $5 million seed round led by Callais Capital.
BoomNation is utilizing its technology platform to modernize and optimize the workforce recruitment and project communications process between job seekers, hiring managers and project managers on jobsites across the United States. The industries BoomNation serves include construction, manufacturing, oil and gas, transportation and warehousing, utilities and others. Built exclusively for skilled workers like welders, electricians, operators, pipefitters and other tradespeople, workers can download the app and join the community with real-time content, networking and communications features, while also promoting their skills and craftsmanship and finding and applying for jobs. For employers, the app offers them qualified job applicants and will soon offer a searchable database of verified skills among workers to provide more efficient communication and interaction among workers and employers with just a few clicks.
“We are very excited to partner with Callais Capital and our other investors for the next phase of our company’s growth,” said Chris Meaux, chairman and co-CEO of BoomNation. “The new funds give us the capital we need to accelerate our platform growth nationwide.”
“What LinkedIn is for professional workers, BoomNation is for skilled workers,” said Brent Flavin, co-founder and co-CEO of BoomNation. “We cater to industries that are desperate to find the qualified workers they need to continue to grow their businesses.”
A digital approach to worker shortages
In a recent Angi survey, nearly 46 percent of skilled-trade employers relied on word-of-mouth for recruitment. A digital approach is necessary in times with worker shortages and competitive labor markets. BoomNation provides a solution by improving employee/employer engagement, leading to more effective and lower job placement costs.
Hal Callais, managing partner at Callais Capital, said, “I’m excited to be working with Chris, Brent and the entire BoomNation team. BoomNation’s platform is providing a much-needed service for both employers and skilled workers at a time when there’s a significant demand for all services.”
Since its launch in November 2021, BoomNation has built a community of thousands of workers and employers using the app to share content, network and connect with jobs nationwide, the company said.
The BoomNation app can be downloaded through the Apple and Google app stores. Workers and employers can also find content at boomnation.com or at jobs.boomnation.com.
BoomNation is modernizing and optimizing the blue-collar workforce recruitment process by creating an unprecedented bridge of communication between the employer and the skilled worker. For more, visit boomnation.com.
