The MT5519 telescopic handler’s low-profile compact frame, with an overall height of 6 feet, 4 inches and tight turning radius of 11 feet, means it can maneuver in low buildings and confined jobsites. The low-profile boom reaches to a height of 19 feet, 1 inch and features the same welded box-section design that is on the larger MT Series telescopic handlers.
The Manitou MT 5519 telescopic handler is designed to meet the needs of rental companies and contractors in construction applications where space constraints exist.
“In 2012, the compact telescopic handler market in North America was over 2,000 units or 15 percent of the total market,” says Steve Kiskunas, Manitou telescopic handler product manager. “Rental, general construction and agriculture are the three most popular markets for these units. The MT 5519 provides a versatile four-wheel drive, four-wheel all-terrain platform that can be utilized in a variety of applications.”
Internal wet disc service brakes are standard equipment for better stopping capability and longer life, along with a spring-applied, hydraulic-release parking brake, which is automatically applied when the engine is shut off, or manually by pressing a rocker switch.
