Toyota Material Handling Introduces Redesigned Stand-Up Rider Forklift with Electric Power Steering
Toyota Material Handling has launched a new model of the Toyota Stand-Up Rider Forklift. The brand’s latest counter-balanced forklift is optimized for performance, efficiency, and operator comfort. Among its new features are electric power steering, ergonomic design integration, and multiple added comfort features.
The Toyota Stand-Up Rider is engineered for demanding warehouse environments, delivering lifting capacities ranging from 3,000 to 5,000 pounds, making it workable for numerous applications, including dock-to-stock workflows.
“The Toyota Stand-Up Rider Forklift is built to perform, and it’s now at its most efficient,” said Cesar Jimenez, vice president of regulatory affairs & product planning, Toyota Material Handling. “From electric power steering to Toyota’s MyInsights telematics, the new Stand-Up Rider has been strategically engineered to last for the busy warehouses that keep our world moving every day.”
Designed for Peak Efficiency
With Toyota’s MyInsights telematics solution, operators have access to real-time fleet data, performance metrics, and operational insights that ultimately help them make fact-based decisions to improve the efficiency of their warehouse. It’s a simple, built-in way to stay ahead of downtime and strengthen your operation’s productivity and efficiency. The Toyota Stand-Up Rider now tracks usage by the hour, impact detection, error codes, and equipment location.
This forklift’s advanced AC drive and lift motor systems deliver energy efficiency while providing responsive acceleration and supporting precise load control. Energy efficiency is also a core outcome of regenerative plugging, which returns energy to the battery, increasing runtime.
The forklift’s compact footprint — with three- and four-stage mast options and a lift height of 270 inches — navigates narrow aisles easily, allowing warehouse managers to maximize efficiency without sacrificing performance.
Technology & Performance Advantages
Operators can look forward to updated performance advantages in the Toyota Stand-Up Rider that bolster their comfort and overall machine handling:
- Electric power steering smooths the ride, allowing for more efficient maneuverability, confident handling, and faster cycle times.
- Intelligent enhancements to the vehicle’s precision load stability system, along with market-leading lift and lower speeds, provide precise handling while delivering smooth travel.
- The 7-inch multifunction color touchscreen display shares load weight, mast tilt positioning, and lift height indication at a glance — to improve material handling confidence.
Operator Ergonomics
The Stand-Up Rider offers new comfort features that encourage increased productivity: The operator compartment features a 60-inch operator backrest with a cushioned pad for all-day comfort and a kneepad cushion that reduces fatigue, ensuring the operator is supported throughout each shift.
An adjustable steer tiller and armrest allow operating the forklift in the ideal position.
· In addition to the now available electric steering, operators will utilize the multifunction control handle for accessible travel and hydraulic functions.
