Toyota Material Handling is launching a new diesel-powered series of pneumatic tire forklifts, the Toyota core diesel pneumatic forklift, engineered for outdoor applications.

The Toyota Core Diesel Pneumatic Forklift offers confident operation across demanding environments, including construction sites, lumberyards, ports, and building material storage sites. Rugged pneumatic tires support the forklift’s 4,000- to 6,500-pound weight capacity.

“We’re proud to introduce the Toyota core diesel pneumatic forklift, a dependable solution for industries that rely on diesel-powered equipment,” said Cesar Jimenez, vice president of regulatory affairs & product planning, Toyota Material Handling. “Built to perform in tough, outdoor applications with Toyota's legendary quality, this forklift delivers the strength and durability operators depend on. The core diesel pneumatic is designed to help operators maximize productivity day after day.”

Key advantages of the core diesel pneumatic include:

  • Operational safety: The core diesel pneumatic features Toyota’s System of Active Stability, helping protect both the operator and the forklift from tip-overs and spills caused by unexpected load or speed conditions.
  • Convenience: Diesel fuel enables the forklift to operate in heavy-duty conditions, promoting more uptime and throughput for even the busiest and roughest worksites. Also, the included LCD multifunction display puts essential data, such as the load meter, front and center, so the operator always has visibility into the machinery's capabilities.
  • Traction: Engineered for high-intensity operations, our diesel-powered forklifts deliver the torque performance needed to move heavy loads over uneven terrain. Responsive low-end torque provides immediate acceleration under load, ensuring you maintain momentum even when starting on steep inclines or soft ground. With competitive travel and lift speeds, this machine is designed to maximize throughput in demanding yards, ports, and construction operations.

Standard telematics

The core diesel pneumatic comes with standard MyInsights telematics, which tracks the data of every move and transforms it into actionable insights that help facilities and the people who run them improve performance, schedule preventive maintenance and enhance productivity.

The new diesel forklift offers several optional add-ins for customization to fit all needs. Operators can choose to include solid pneumatic tires, rear assist grip, synchronized steering, and a side-shifting fork positioner. These operator-first benefits increase ease of use and forklift efficiency.

Lower repair costs and higher residual value define Toyota’s internal combustion engine forklifts, the company says. The core diesel pneumatic forklift represents the brand’s latest innovation to utilize meticulously planned, integrated systems to deliver dependable service.
