The JCB Teletruk is a 2-wheel-drive hydrostatic lift truck that uses a telescopic boom — not a vertical mast — delivering a load capacity of 7,000 pounds. The Teletruk combines the small size and tight turning radius of an industrial counterbalanced forklift with the boom of a rough-terrain telescopic handler. The result is a machine that works in a variety of markets and is particularly beneficial for use in areas with unfinished yard surfaces and gradients.

The telescopic boom feature provides forward reach that enables the Teletruk to perform where a vertical mast forklift cannot. Single-side loading is possible, unlike with a traditional straight-mast forklift. The boom also allows for increased operator safety by keeping safe distances from hazardous materials.

Unlike conventional industrial masted forklifts, the five-model Teletruk range is also designed to work well with shovel attachments. The versatility of the machine, when fitted with forks, clamps or buckets, appeals to the recycling industries, nurseries, landscapers and building-supply yards.

“The key is pure versatility,” says Stephen Wright, general manager for JCB Industrial Teletruks. “The Teletruk is capable of doing the job of three machines. It could replace a standard lift truck; it could replace a skid-steer loader; it could even replace a small wheel loader shovel.”
