Mobile elevating work platform manufacturer Niftylift is celebrating 40 years in business, and five years at its facility in Greer, S.C. The company established its first U.S. facility in 2005, and has since increased its sales by more than 4,000 percent in the region. Niftylift’s history in the United States began in 1995, when Niftylift Inc. began operating through a dealer network.

Niftylift made a strategic investment into its U.S. operations in 2020 when it purchased land and opened a purpose-built facility. Its Greer, S.C., hub houses a skilled team that provides full-service support and spare parts for the company’s full range of boom lifts.

“Our team in Greer is trusted in the industry,” said Jon Hedlund, vice president of sales for Niftylift in the U.S. “We are people who know our machines, understand our customers’ needs and are always ready to help. That connection and service-first mindset is what sets us apart.”

Niftylift has particularly grown in the area of hybrid power with models such as the SP50N, the SP50 4x4 and the SP50E, combining electric motors with fuel-efficient engines, enabling zero-emission operation in electric-only mode, good for indoor environments or areas with strict noise or emissions requirements.

“We’ve seen a real shift in the market over the last five years,” said Hedlund. “Where it was once all diesel, more customers are now asking for hybrid options. They want the performance they trust, but with lower emissions and quieter operation. Our hybrid models deliver just that.”

Niftylift’s advanced telematics platform, Niftylink, provides real-time data on machine performance, usage and location, empowering customers to make smarter operational decisions, reduce downtime and schedule proactive maintenance. Other Niftylift innovations include an advanced exhaust purification system that reduces carbon monoxide, hydrocarbon and particulate emissions. A Diesel Re-Gen feature that recharges batteries gives a fast charge.

“Niftylift is growing its footprint in the U.S. by combining innovative, sustainable technology with a service-first approach,” Hedlund said.
