Haulotte Group had consolidated sales of €118.1 million (about U.S. $152.6 million) in the third quarter, compared with €127.1 million for the same period last year. The €118.1 million figure includes €12.3 million (about U.S. $15.9 million) from recently acquired Bil-Jax Inc.
Nine-month consolidated sales declined 10 percent to €376.8 million (versus re-stated sales of €420.9 million for the equivalent period in 2007.
However, Haulotte’s shares of revenue from international markets outside of Europe expanded to 19 percent of the company’s revenue. A growth of 35 percent in sales from services was not sufficient to offset the company’s 13-percent decline in equipment sales.
Haulotte declined to issue updated guidance for 2008 because of the current uncertain economic environment.
