Terex Aerial Work Platforms, a business segment of Terex Corp., last week named Susan Swirsley as vice president global marketing.
In this key role, Swirsley is responsible for leading Terex AWP’s marketing activities globally, including branding, public relations, advertising, promotions, digital marketing, trade shows, guest visits, channel development and the business segment’s internal and external communications. Swirsley will also play a critical role in introducing new tools and technologies to help provide customer insights, and will partner with the sales organization to take customer relationships to the next level.
“We are very excited to have Susan join our team,” said Matt Fearon, Terex AWP president. “She will bring excellent insight into reaching our customers’ needs in new and beneficial ways. She will be able to bring our well-respected brand even closer to our customer base.”
Swirsley has more than 25 years of experience as a marketer at such major organizations as The Dial Corp., Alberto Culver and Weyerhaeuser. Most recently, Swirsley led her own marketing consulting company, where she specialized in providing global and domestic strategic marketing planning and discovery of consumer insights.
The company also named Stephane Riggi as Terex AWP’s regional sales manager for the Northeast Region team. Riggi will be responsible for covering Quebec and the Atlantic Provinces of Canada.
Riggi has extensive experience in the rental industry, first with his family-owned rental store established in 1979, and then with the Hewitt Cat rental store. He has experience at all levels of sales and purchasing. Riggi was most recently Eastern Canada’s district manager for Wacker Neuson.
“Having been raised in the rental industry, his wide spectrum of knowledge makes him a great addition to the Genie Sales Team,” said Adrian Max, regional sales vice president, Terex AWP. “Our customers are sure to benefit from his experience.”
