Doosan Infracore Portable Power has scheduled dates for product service training at its manufacturing facility in Statesville, N.C. Factory schools are three- to four- day training sessions to provide service training on its product lines of air compressors, generators, light towers and the Blackhawk MVS-6 mobile surveillance system.
Five sessions are scheduled for the Blackhawk MVS-6.

• September 21-24, 2009
• October 26-29, 2009
• November 9-12, 2009
Air compressor training is scheduled for September 15 – 17, 2009, and the following dates are set for electrical and generator training.
• Basic Electricity: October 6-8, 2009
• Generators and Light Towers: October 13-15, 2009
• Engine Training: November 3- 5, 2009
David Blackburn, field service trainer for generators, says the goal of factory training is to improve overall customer satisfaction by improving the expertise and professionalism of service technicians.
“Factory training is extremely important,” said Blackburn. “Systems are considerably more complex. Lack of training can cause problems anywhere from simple parts replacement to diagnosis and troubleshooting of multiple component failure.”
Training sessions cover everything from basic operation best practices to safety and hands-on training on the equipment. Specific troubleshooting procedures are demonstrated during class to give technicians real application experience with problems that bring a piece of equipment in for repair.
Doosan Infracore Portable Power offers industry leading warranties on its products. Because of the importance of training, the company has combined training as a component of the warranty program. Certified dealers will receive 100 percent reimbursement of parts and labor on guaranteed warranty work as long as its service technicians go through factory training every three years.
Often, dealers are not able to send their service teams to Statesville for training. Doosan Infracore Portable Power will provide on-site training at the dealer’s or a customer's location.
