Terex’s Demag Cranes Unit Posts 18.3 Percent Order Intake Increase

Demag Cranes AG, in which Terex Corp. holds a majority share and operates on the market as Terex Material Handling & Port Solutions increased its order intake by 18.3 percent to €1.33 billion (about U.S. $1.72 billion) compared to the 2010/11 financial year, with all segments making a positive contribution.

Demag Cranes AG, in which Terex Corp. holds a majority share and operates on the market as Terex Material Handling & Port Solutions increased its order intake by 18.3 percent to €1.33 billion (about U.S. $1.72 billion) compared to the 2010/11 financial year, with all segments making a positive contribution. Demag Cranes also increased its revenue year over year by 5.7 percent to €1.12 billion, compared to €1.06 billion a year ago.

The company also changed its financial year to the calendar year and will post a short financial year from Oct. 1 to Dec. 1, before beginning fiscal 2013 on Jan. 1, 2013.
