Husqvarna Names New Head of Supply Chain

Thomas Andersson has been appointed executive vice-president of Husqvarna AB and head of the group’s supply-chain organization. He will report to president and CEO Magnus Yngen, and will be a member of group management.

Thomas Andersson has been appointed executive vice-president of Husqvarna AB and head of the group’s supply-chain organization. He will report to president and CEO Magnus Yngen, and will be a member of group management.

The supply-chain organization comprises the Group’s production, purchasing and logistics.

Andersson is currently senior vice president and head of Volvo Powertrain Sweden. Volvo Powertrain is the Volvo Group’s business unit for development and manufacturing of engines and transmissions. Andersson will assume his new position during the first quarter of 2010.

Husqvarna produces lawn mowers, chainsaws and portable petrol-powered garden equipment such as trimmers and blowers. The group is also a leader in diamond tools and cutting equipment for the construction and stone industries.
