Diesel engine manufacturer Deutz AG, has renewed its logistics partnership with Stute Verkehrs-GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kuhne & Nagel. The service agreement covers the management of a service center in Cologne-Lind. The early decision to extend the agreement by an additional five years through to the end of 2017 is an important step in continuing the alliance.

At its plant in Cologne-Porz, Germany, Deutz AG produces diesel engines for a variety of applications, from construction and agricultural machinery to locomotives and commercial vehicles. Stute has operated a 25,000-square-meter logistics center for Deutz since 1992.

“By signing this agreement, we are continuing our successful partnership of many years and are boosting the efficiency of our supply chain,” said Gerhard Gehweiler, senior vice president of purchasing for Deutz AG. “The crucial factor for us is that Stute’s outstanding flexibility and high quality enables it to adapt to our requirements, which are continually changing to our extensive product range of engines with capacities ranging from 25kW to 520kW.”
