CNH Parts & Service, the product support business of agricultural and construction equipment maker CNH Global N.V., recently hosted a trade fair in Nashville, Tenn., to offer equipment dealers new parts and service sales opportunities that will help them grow and diversify their businesses, even in these difficult times.

The event, which took place Feb. 25 - March 1, at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center, brought together CNH employees, suppliers and agricultural and construction equipment dealers in the U.S. and Canada. Dealers in attendance represented the entire CNH family of brands — Case IH, Case Construction Equipment, New Holland Agriculture, New Holland Construction and Kobelco.

“In response to the current economic environment, we are making a significant investment to ensure that the dealers we serve can take advantage of the potential opportunities in their markets,” said Eric Bippus, vice president of sales and marketing for CNH Parts & Service North America. “Parts and service work is one way dealers can help offset slower sales. Additional training and access to resources is vital, so we’re updating dealers on everything — from new business opportunities, to sales tools and environmentally conscious products.”

CNH Parts & Service combined a series of educational seminars with hands-on learning opportunities throughout more than 80,000 square feet of exhibit space, showcasing the latest technology, product additions, attachments and services — including a futuristic-model store featuring parts and service merchandising techniques, graphic displays, fixtures and interior design services that can boost in-store sales.

Supplier representatives and CNH parts and service experts were on hand to offer one-on-one product training and to answer questions. Representatives from CNH Capital, the financing business of CNH, offered dealers special parts and service financing. Dealers also had a chance to hear from CNH CEO Harold Boyanovsky, and Pierre Fleck, president of CNH Parts & Service worldwide.

The Parts & Service Trade Fair and Business Meeting schedule was divided into two sessions. New Holland Agriculture, New Holland Construction and Kobelco dealers attended the first session, from Feb. 25 ‑ 27. The second session took place from Feb. 27 - March 1, and included Case IH and Case Construction Equipment dealers.

“Each session was designed with the needs of dealer principals and parts and service managers in mind,” Bippus said. “They had face-to-face discussions with corporate leaders, as well as representatives from more than 100 suppliers and vendors. More than 500 resource people were on hand to offer insights into how to stay competitive and profitable.”

In total, more than 2,200 dealer representatives visited the 2009 Trade Fair floor to take part in both general and breakout training and education sessions.

Headquartered in Racine, Wis., CNH Parts & Service provides aftersales parts and service solutions for the CNH family of brands, and a wide range of global support services for the Case and New Holland dealer network.
