Climax to Construct German Facility

Climax Portable Machine Tools, a provider of on-site machining solutions, will break ground on a new European headquarters in Duren, Germany, on Sept. 8. The first phase of construction is scheduled for completion in March 2007 and will provide Climax with more than 11,000 square feet of office and manufacturing space.

Climax specializes in on-site machine tools that enable customers to meet maintenance requirements where it is difficult and time-consuming to dismantle heavy equipment for service or re-tooling. Climax’ valve-repair machines, boring machines, flange facers, lathes and mills are used for maintenance and repair in power generation, heavy construction, mining, civil engineering and shipbuilding.

Climax is based in Portland, Ore.
