Doosan Portable Power is delivering a new power level in its air compressor lineup with the introduction of the Tier 4i-compliant XP200WJD. The new model produces 200 cfm at 125 psig, making it well suited for applications including general construction, sandblasting, pneumatic tool operation and pipeline testing.

The new product was developed specifically to meet customer demand for a compressor that delivered 200 cfm at 125 psig. 

The XP200WJD maximizes jobsite productivity with an eight-hour runtime at 100-percent load, the maker says. Engineered to be dependable even in extreme temperatures, the model boasts a three-degree limited ambient temperature improvement, delivering reliable performance in conditions up to 118F.

Easy-to-access service points and simplified maintenance enhance machine lifetime. Pneumatic-lift side doors provide easy access to service points — from hoses to filters and fuel tanks — while a rear panel simplifies heat exchanger cleaning. A spin-on oil separation system offers easy maintenance, while an engine and airend diagnostic module provides operators with at-a-glance maintenance and servicing information.

The rugged design, easy transportability and flexibility to meet a multitude of applications also make the Tier 4i-compliant John Deere engine-powered XP200WJD a suitable model for rental fleets.

With its integrated web portal, Sirius e offers a flexible e-commerce solution. Clients can use it as a full shopping cart for the general public or by offering it to specific customers who are regularly doing business with them or simply as a portal for clients to view their transactions. The web cart is fully integrated and configurable to the point that each customer can have a different experience when they log in.

Sirius e provides powerful tools to manage availability, resolve conflicts and transfer equipment between branches. With its graphics interface and new “Drawer” concept, users can pull a graph on a need basis directly in the transaction screen and resolve conflict with just a few clicks.

From its inception Sirius e was also designed to be used on touch screen and eliminate the mouse entirely at the point of sale and in the field. It is so versatile that users who access it at the counter or on the cloud can get a mobile interface with tiles to select items and view transactions.

Its Tier 4 Final engine offers automatic idle to reduce fuel consumption and when combined with the innovative ECO mode, fuel consumption can be reduced by as much as 21 percent in typical working conditions.

Key innovation: Honda’s all-new GXR120 general purposed engine was developed to meet the high demands of a rammer application. New, special cast-iron cylinder sleeve and high carbon-steel, dual-ball bearing crankshaft add engine strength.

With a displacement of 121 cc, the Honda GXR120 engine can power 110- to 175-pound rammers at multiple altitudes with ease.

In 2013, Honda introduced its all-new GXR120 general purpose engine developed specifically as a source of power for rammers. The GXR120 is engineered to offer durability and reliability for heavy-duty applications and is capable of meeting the high demands that rammers require of the engine, frame and operator, the maker says.

With a displacement of 121 cc, the engine can power 110- to 175-pound rammers at multiple altitudes with ease. New, special cast-iron cylinder sleeve and high carbon-steel, dual-ball bearing crankshaft provides improved engine strength. To further enhance engine durability, the recoil starter and fan cover of the new GXR120 are even more robust through the incorporation of steel in the design.

When developing the GXR120 for the rammer marketplace, Honda engineers identified the need for a more compact and lightweight engine footprint to allow for increased versatility in frame mounting. Using an overhead camshaft orientation, Honda incorporated a maintenance-free, low-noise timing belt to create a smaller, lighter and quieter engine.

Key innovation: Jobsites are requiring telehandlers to pick up heavier loads. The Genie GTH-1544 telehandler is the first of its kind in the 15,000-pound class. It takes mass production of this type of telehandler to the next level, stepping up the capacity of a rental-ready machine.

Genie built the new 15,000-pound capacity machine in response to a trend toward larger telehandlers, not only in larger construction sites, but also the burgeoning oil and gas industries, in mines and in ports.

The new Genie GTH-1544 is the largest telehandler of the Genie product line and offers qualities owners and end users will value such as reliability, durability, performance and operator comfort.

Genie built the new 15,000-pound capacity machine in response to a trend toward larger telehandlers, not only in larger construction sites, but also the burgeoning oil and gas industries, in mines and in ports.

The Genie GTH-1544 is based off of the proven foundation of the Terex telehandler introduced in 2007, which was built to meet the needs of the military. It adds features and benefits designed for today’s rigorous job requirements. It provides industry-leading lift height of 44 feet and forward reach of 27 feet 3 inches, the maker says. The lift capacity at maximum height is 10,000 pounds and 3,500 pounds at maximum reach. The operating weight is 33,686 pounds.

A newly-designed cab provides ergonomic comfort to the operator, including an optional fully-enclosed cab with full glass, defroster, wipers, heater, split door, washer and air-conditioning.

The machine provides both visibility and serviceability with a side-mounted engine compartment, allowing for easy access to maintenance, filters, belts, and to perform all service work. If major engine work is required, the engine compartment can be removed from the machine in less than two hours. The hydraulic oil filter can be easily replaced with no oil leakage or contamination.

Engine choices include Tier 4i-compliant platforms from either Deutz (154 hp) or Perkins (147 hp), with 22,500 pounds of drawbar pull. The GTH-1544 features a two-speed hydrostatic transmission, with shift-on-the-go capabilities, and drive speeds reaching 18 mph. The outside turning radius is a tight 14 feet, 7 inches. The well balanced GTH-1544 telehandler does not require outriggers.
