Doosan Portable Power’s newly designed G25, G50 and G70 mobile generators are Tier 4 Final-compliant and offer improved fuel efficiency, extended runtimes and diminished sound levels. The G25 (pictured), G50 and G70 are the first mobile generators equipped with Doosan-built engines — the D18, D24 and D34 respectively. The D18 and D24 engines are designed with a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) aftertreatment system. The D34 engine consists of DOC with selective catalytic reduction aftertreatment. The G50 (51 kVA) replaced the G40 (35 kVA) generator, a change driven by customer demand for higher kVA output.
Genie Xtra Capacity (XC) boom lifts are designed to work in more applications that require higher capacities. All XC booms combine a dual-envelope design to provide an unrestricted range of motion with a platform capacity of 660 pounds and a restricted operating envelope capacity of 1,000 pounds. To support additional weight on the platform, Genie XC booms are engineered with an updated boom structure for increased performance, range of motion and envelope control, as well as a robust jib capable of handling the standard 1,000-pound maximum capacity. The XC lifts comply with the overload restriction guidelines in the proposed ANSI A92 and CSA B354 industry standards in North America.
The JLG G5-18A super compact telehandler is designed for work in confined or congested spaces and any application with overhead height restrictions. It features a 127-inch turning radius, enabling movement through crowded jobsites and a stowed height of less than 76 inches. The G5-18A features a maximum lift height up to 18 feet, an extended outreach of 11 feet, and a 5,500-pound maximum lifting capacity. The machine also offers a variety of attachments.
John Deere recently introduced four Final Tier 4 G-Series skid steer loaders (312GR, 314G, 316GR, 318G) and one compact track loader (317G). The machines feature a 10-foot dump height with vertical lift linkage, and simplified maintenance access via a single lockable compartment. Large foot well cleanouts are designed to facilitate fast rental make-readies. Yanmar FT4 engines, similar to those powering the company’s mini-excavators, power the units. Improved visibility to bucket corners, machine sides and machine rear helps operators of all experience levels work safely and productively.
The Chicago Pneumatic 4608 and 4611 rivet busters feature a teasing throttle for precise control, which is part of the company’s Controlled Power System. Other features of the system are control over blank firing, excessive wear and premature structural breakage. In addition, an indicator groove on the lower sleeve shows when it is time to replace the bumper. Originally designed for removing rivets, rivet busters are now used for concrete demolition work and bridgework. It has approximately the same hitting power as a 60-pound breaker with only half its weight. The 4608 rivet buster offers 900 blows per minute while the 4611 rivet buster offers 720 BPM.
Mi-T-M’s diesel 30-gallon air compressor/generator combination unit features a 9.1 horsepower Kohler KD420 diesel overhead valve engine with electric start and glow plugs for easy starting in cold temperatures. The unit includes a 3,000-watt generator and two-stage compressor with a powder-coated ASME-coded 30-gallon receiver tank. As a generator, it features a brushless alternator and a total harmonic distortion of less than 6 percent, and 100 percent copper windings. It comes standard with 120 volt and 240 volt receptacles. The built-in air compressor features a splash lubricated compressor pump, large canister intake filter, regulator and two gauges for tank and outlet pressure and a 16 ½-inch fly wheel.
Skyjack’s SJ85 AJ articulating boom features an 85-foot platform height and working height of 91 feet. It offers horizontal reach of 56 feet and up and over clearance of 34 feet. A dual capacity rating of 750/500 pounds and two to three people rating is designed to increase productivity and jobsite performance. Indicator lights on upper and lower controls show the applicable working zone and platform capacities. Common off-the-shelf parts are used wherever possible and components are well protected, while serviceable components are designed to be easily accessible.
The D260PDDZ is a dual pressure/dual capacity portable air compressor, which delivers 260 CFM at 100 psi or 185 CFM at 150 psi. At its core, a Tier 4 Final Deutz engine (no DEF fluid required) and 127-millimeter diameter twin-screw air end made by Sullivan-Palatek power the portable unit. The compressor is also equipped with a Sullivan-Palatek Electronic Controller, providing digital readouts on everything from compressor temperature to complete engine diagnostics. At 260 CFM/100 psi the compressor is capable of running up to three 90-pound breakers for large demolition, and up to eight 15-pound chipping hammers for light demolition and concrete restoration. At 185 CFM/150 psi, the unit is designed forsandblasting and pipe testing while running a 5/16-inch nozzle up to 140 psi at the tank.
The TB216H hybrid dual-powered excavator features both an electric motor and diesel engine with its own pump group to power the machine’s hydraulics. The dual-power feature enables the operator to work indoors or outdoors. Machine performance is designed for consistency across power sources. In diesel mode the machine is powered by a Yanmar Tier 4 Final engine, that offers an output of 14.9 horsepower. For emissions-free environments, the machine can be powered by the 14.2 hp electric motor. When not running off diesel the machine can be plugged into a 400 – 480 volt three phase power source for 100 percent emission-free operation. Should the machine be connected to electric power while running the diesel engine, the diesel engine will automatically shut off and the machine will begin to run off electric power once the key has been cycled.
