American Eagle Accessories Group has updated the SHD-60 hydraulic drive truck-mounted air compressor. The updates include a new metal enclosure with a flip-up lid, and new front-mount bulkhead connectors. The new flip-up lid is designed to facilitate access to check oil level and change the air filter. The reconfigured front-mount bulkhead connectors allow easier maintenance and installation. The SHD-60 features a hydraulic direct-drive system that has no belts and provides 30 cfm at 100 psi. It is built around a ductile iron balance crankshaft with heavy-duty journal bushings and micro-honed connecting rods that are lubricated by an integral oil pump.
Atlas is launching the XAS 185 Tier 4 Final portable air compressor. It is suitable for a range of high free air delivery applications, for pneumatic tools, and for customers in the rental industry and municipal operations. It features a single axle, oil-injected rotary screw compressor that delivers 185 cfm at 100 psi operating pressure and has the option of either a 49 hp Kubota or Caterpillar engine. Fitted with a stepless, fully automatic unloader valve and speed regulator, the XAS 185 Tier 4 Final constantly varies the engine speed according to the air demand, reducing fuel consumption and emissions. It also features a XC2003 electronic controller, located at the rear of the machine for quick access.
Chicago Pneumatic introduces the CPS 185 JD, a 185 CFM portable air compressor equipped with a 49 hp, four-cylinder John Deere engine. It features a rear-mount control panel, trailer light package, adjustable-height hitch complete with jack stand and safety chains, automatic temperature shutdowns and low oil pressure shutdown. Options include additional hose reels, an 18-inch extended drawbar, a heavy duty battery and a block heater for cold climates. With an operating weight of 2,375 pounds, it measures 125 feet x 60 feet wide, and 55.25 inches tall.
FTG Equipment Solutions
The Rotair D185T4F from FTG, a 185 cfm portable air compressor, features a Kohler/Lombardini diesel engine that meets EPA standards without a DPF. It is coupled to a low-speed Rotair Air-End that spins at only 2600 RPM, reducing heat and increasing bearing life. Other features include a curbside mounted control panel and adjacent air vales for maximum operator safety, a large, 23.25-gallon fuel tank, Flex-Edge fenders, and an automatic intelligence system to reduce blowback.
Doosan Portable Power
Doosan Portable Power is introducing two new models of Tier 4 Final air compressors. The HP750WCU and XP825WCU are powered by a Cummins QSB6.7 Tier 4 Final engine. A diesel oxidation catalyst and selective catalyst reduction after-treatment system has replaced the diesel particulate filter system used in previous Tier 4 interim models, reducing the maintenance requirement. Producing 750 cubic feet per minute (cfm) at a rated operating pressure of 150 pounds per square inch (psi), and 825 cfm and 125 psi, respectively, the HP750 and XP825 are designed for general construction, abrasive blasting, or pipeline pressure testing.
Jenny Products offers four models of skid-mounted air compressors with single and two-stage pumps. They feature Honda GX-series engines and come with 30-gallon, ASME-certified air tanks. All models are built with heavy-duty cast-iron compressor pumps and contain large flywheels and directional air shrouds for enhanced pump cooling. They come with mounted fittings and belt guards. Other standard features include pressure relief safety valves, large canister intake filters with replaceable filter elements, manual tank drains, special unloading valves, stainless steel braided discharge hoses, constant run control, pneumatic throttle idle control, and tank, regulator and outlet pressure gauges.
Husqvarna introduces the new K 760 power saw with optimized engine performance, as well as enhanced stability and ergonomics. It features a new cylinder and additional cooling fin that reduce emissions by 15 percent compared to previous models. A digital ignition system facilitates better starting capability and smoother engine running that reduces user strain. It also has a wet cutting kit to improve dust control and a ventilation system for optimal air supply.
ICS offers the 695GC concrete chain saw for the rental market. It features diamond chain technology with the 94cc gas-powered saw that offers up to 16” deep narrow cutting and square corners. It weighs 21 pounds and yields 64 hp, which enables it to tackle concrete, stone and masonry. Other enhancements include dampening vibration and sound.
The new Stihl BT 130 handheld auger has a higher torque at lower RPM than its predecessor. Powered by a 36.3 cc low-exhaust-emission engine, the BT 130 decreases operating costs and downtime. The new design allows users to stand upright while drilling and uses bits that help prevent lockups. It features an auger brake designed to stop the rotation of the powerhead if it hits something it cannot drill through. Comfort features include a left side, single-handle engine throttle and a vibration dampening system with oversized hip pad.
The BTS 630 and BTS 635S saws from Wacker Neuson feature an innovative air filter concept with a cyclonic filter, a foam pre-filter and a paper filter that decreases downtime. The BTS 630 weighs 24 pounds and has a 12-inch blade diameter with .08-inch arbor. The BTS 635S has a 14-inch blade diameter, one-inch arbor, weighs 24.9 pounds and offers a soft start option. The saws also boast a high torque 5.8 horsepower engine combined with low machine vibration.
JCB introduces its new compact 525-60 telescopic handler to its Hi-Viz lineup. With a maximum lift height of 20 feet and a maximum load capacity of 5,500 pounds. The 525-60 is just 5’10”wide and 6’3” tall, with three steer modes including four-wheel steer allowing access to multi-story parking garages and operation in confined areas. Featuring a JCB Diesel by Kohler four-cylinder engine, the 525-60 delivers 74hp (55kW) and a two-speed hydrostatic transmission that offers travel speeds of up to 16 mph. It has a spacious cab with flat glass throughout. It is available with both key and keypad immobilizer options as well as a choice of canopy or fully glazed cab, and an air conditioning option.
The V417 VersaHandler from Bobcat features a two-stage boom that can lift more than 4,400 pounds, a narrow frame and compact size (just 6 feet wide and 6.5 feet tall) that makes it easy to enter confined areas. It is designed for building sites, landscaping projects and rental companies and comes standard with the Bob-Tach system to attach an angle broom or a bucket. It combines the features of a skid-steer loader and VersaHandler to allow users to use a variety of attachments on a telescoping boom.
The new Cat TH255C telehandler has a rated load capacity of 5,500 pounds and a maximum lift height of 18.33 feet. The new 2.9-liter engine is rated at 74-horsepower (55 kW), and is available in both a Tier 4 and a Tier 3 version. A new low-profile hood provides enhanced visibility. The TH255C also features a hydrostatic transmission with a variable-displacement piston pump and a variable-displacement piston motor, as well as a four-wheel-drive propel system, three-mode steering system, and an electronic throttle pedal.
JLG announces upgrades to its SkyTrak line, which include enhanced operator comfort, improved boom speeds, and single joystick operation with pilot-operated hydraulics. The joystick provides control over all functions of the main lift, telescope, and fork tilt. A redesigned cab features an integrated armrest, threeway adjustable suspension seat, and optional air conditioning. The rear counterweight now includes a retrieval hitch as standard. The telehandlers feature a Cummins 3.8L Tier 4F engine and have lift capacities from 6,000 pounds to 10,000 pounds and maximum lift heights from 36 feet to 54 feet.
Skyjack presents its range of telehandlers including the VR642, VR834, VR1044, VR1056, and the ZB2044. The VR642 is designed for residential construction and offers a maximum capacity of 6,700 pounds and a lift height of 42 feet. The VR834 is designed for residential and non-residential masonry trade and features a maximum capacity of 8,000 pounds and a lift height of 43’1”. The VR1044 is designed primarily for oil/gas projects, and power project services. It features a high boom pivot for visibility and has a maximum capacity of 10,000 pounds.
The new Genie GTH-5519 is a general purpose machine that can fit into tight spaces, help unload trucks, and carry tools. The new model length has been reduced by five inches, while its wheelbase has been expanded by two inches. The turning radius has been decreased by three inches, and its weight has been increased by 540 pounds. It has a capacity of 55.4 kW (74 HP) at 2,600 rpm compared to 50 kW (67 HP) at 2,600 rpm of the original, and the new chassis has expanded housing for hydraulic connections and air bleeding valves. The cabin has been upgraded with a black dashboard and has a new main instrumentation cluster that offers an integrated display of the engine’s electronic control unit and a new air defroster and ventilation system for added cabin comfort.
