The Cat 988K XE is the first wheel loader offered by Caterpillar with a high-efficiency electric drive system. It features switched reluctance technology and increases efficiency by 25 percent overall and by up to 49 percent in face-loading applications, as compared to the 988K. The 988K XE loader offers a range of bucket capacities from 6.2-17 yd3. Rated standard and high lift payload for the loader reaches 12.5 tons when working with face material and 16 tons with loose material. Advansys Series Ground Engaging Tools protect bucket components and reduce operating costs.
Doosan Construction Equipment’s DX140LCR-5 crawler excavator offers a shorter tail swing, allowing operators greater flexibility where space is a premium. The unit is designed for long life with a reinforced superstructure. It comes standard with permanently sealed and lubricated track links, and the workgroup bushings and hard-wear disks are designed for reliability as well as extended service intervals to increase uptime. A standard 7-inch LCD screen allows operators to continue monitoring the excavator parameters while viewing the rearview or optional sideview camera image. A standard auto shutdown feature allows operators to configure the idle time from 3 to 60 minutes, shutting down the engine when that time is reached.
JCB’s 210T and 215T (pictured) compact track loaders are powered by 74 hp JCB Diesel by Kohler engines, requiring no DPF and no DEF. The radial lift 210T model has a rated operating capacity of 1,900 pounds at 35 percent tipping load and 2,650 pounds at 50 percent tipping load. The 215T vertical lift model has an ROC of 2,100 pounds at 35 percent tipping load and 3,000 pounds at 50 percent tipping load. The ROC of both models can be increased with an optional bolt-on chassis counterweight package, and both are capable of operating high flow attachments up to 30 gallons per minute. The units feature JCB’s unique single boom design to enhance visibility.

Komatsu America’s WA200-8 wheel loader is designed for versatility, combining high production with low fuel consumption and improved operator comfort. The WA200-8’s parallel-lift linkage and breakout force make it useful in applications from pallet handling to hard digging. Fuel consumption drops by up to four percent in V-cycle as well as load-and-carry applications, according to the OEM. The new wheel loader has significantly upgraded operator comfort, and the quick, change-on-the-fly coupler lets operators go from moving bales to loading pallets to cleaning out feedlots or pushing into a pile with ease.
Engineered for efficiency, Volvo’s L350H is fitted with next-generation hydraulics and powered by a Tier 4 Final D16J engine, for high torque at low rpm. The L350H comes with a higher capacity 9.5-cubic-yard rock bucket. The new load sensing hydraulic system is designed to work in greater harmony with the drivetrain, resulting in up to 5 percent faster cycle times, according to the OEM. The hydraulic system and drivetrain improvements, coupled with the latest Volvo engine technology, make the L350H up to 10 percent more fuel efficient in comparison to the L350F it replaces. Increased clearance between the rear fenders and tires allows greater access when fitting tire chains.
Wacker Neuson new line of skid steers and compact track loaders feature class-leading hinge pin height on the vertical loaders, while an engine torque of 221 foot-pounds provides the power needed for improved ground-engaging performance in all kinds of terrain. The Kohler diesel engine features a maintenance-free, regeneration-free aftertreatment system. A universal skid steer attachment plate enables easy attachment switching. The 33-gallon fuel tank gives operators 30 percent more time in the cab and less time refueling.
