Camso is revamping its multi-purpose tire (MPT) lineup with five new models, adding 15 sizes, five different tread patterns, and two new technologies for a total of 48 sizes and 13 tread patterns available in solid, bias and radial. The MPT 753 is built with a unique non-directional tread pattern for multi-use applications on mixed and hard surfaces. The MPT 793S is the first and only flat-free solution purpose-built for multipurpose machines to maximize uptime in severe conditions. The MPT 553R is designed for residential construction and paving applications and has a non-directional center-block tread pattern. The MPT 532R is built with an R-4 agro-industrial tread pattern and radial construction for maximizing soft-surface traction. Finally, the MPT 552 is engineered for soft-surface conditions on general-duty jobs.
EarthForce, a leader in the design and manufacturer of aftermarket parts, has expanded its product line with new Hex rubber tracks for compact track loaders. The new Hex rubber tracks offer traction and versatility on all surfaces and ground conditions. The multi-purpose tracks are designed to easily travel across asphalt, concrete, dirt, sand and mud, as well as established surfaces such as grass and lawns. The tracks are available in 13 sizes and are approved for use with compact track loaders.
JLG Industries’ 33x16-inch Turf Tires are designed to be turf-friendly and provide excellent traction and floatation with minimal ground disturbance. Turf Tires are available as an option for the G5-18A telehandlers. The tires’ minimal turf disturbance tread design is ideal for grounds maintenance for areas such as sport complexes and golf courses, along with residential construction and landscaping. Turf Tires also have excellent durability with 12-ply rating and higher floatation for less imprint on turf. Turf tires increase the machine width to 76.5 inches.
The new Michelin CrossGrip is a multipurpose radial tire for road, grass and snowy conditions. Using a special rubber compound, this four-season tire is designed for high-load-capacity use on loaders, backhoes, telehandlers and tractors. The tire has a patented, non-directional tread for forward and reverse gears. With 196 tread blocks per wheel rotation, the tire achieves driver comfort by reducing vibration. Asymmetrical lateral blocks help provide traction in winter conditions when short starting and stopping distances are imperative for safety. Reinforced for puncture resistance, CrossGrip is designed to offer increased productivity and can be studded for ice usage. The tread depth has been optimized to reduce plant damage during growing season.
TireSocks are used to protect finished flooring from scuff marks caused by rubber tires as well as residue from non-marking tires. TireSocks are constructed using heavy-duty fabrics and can be made to fit any size tire. TireSocks have several advantages over similar products currently on the market. They are easy to install, don’t slip off the tires and self-center as you drive. TrackSocks are similar to TireSocks but are used to protect finished flooring from scuff marks caused by rubber tracks. They are designed for easy installation and durability and won’t slip off the track.
The Titan HD 2000 II, the premier bias design lineup for skid steer tires from Titan International, offers deep lugs, a heavy sidewall and a large rim guard for excellent durability. The lower profile and increased wheel size of the Low Sidewall Technology design improves stability and reduces recoil and bouncing associated with the larger sidewall of standard tires. There are two LSW sizes: 10-19.5-inch and 12-19.5-inch. The full line is also available in standard sizes ranging from 10-16.5-inch up to 14-17.5-inch.
Trelleborg Wheel Systems
The Brawler Solidflex HPS solid tire line, from Trelleborg Wheel Systems, has been selected as the OEM solid tire option for Cat medium wheel loaders and small wheel loaders from Caterpillar Inc. The Brawler HPS Solidflex features elliptical apertures to deliver a comfortable ride, resulting in reduced equipment and operator fatigue. Durable cut resistant rubber compound eliminates downtime caused by tire damage, while deep lug tread design offers three times more wearable rubber than most pneumatic tires.
Trident's expanded Traxter range of solid skid steer tires are specifically engineered to meet the demands of skid steer loaders in diverse conditions. Features of the expanded solid skid steer tire range include a 100 percent flat-proof design to provide high damage resistance, extra deep tread designed to provide 3 to 5 times the service life of pneumatic tires, and specially designed sidewall apertures for shock absorption. It is supplied as ready to fit tire and wheel assemblies designed for easy replacement, and offers application-specific patterns for general construction, landscaping, recycling and scrap handling, demolition, waste handling. A wide range of sizes are available to replace equivalent pneumatic tires.
