Sunbelt Begins Large Pumping Project

Sunbelt Rental’s Jacksonville, Fla., branch recently began a critical pump station bypass for Jacksonville Electric Authority, Sunbelt officials toldRER. They are pumping 20 million gallons per day, 14,500 gpm, using four 12-inch electric drive pumps with a 1000-kw genset on standby. The entire project is monitored remotely.

JEA is one of the largest utilities in the country, Sunbelt said, and the project is expected to continue for six to eight months.

Charlotte, N.C.-based Sunbelt is No. 5 on the RER 100 with 197 locations in 26 states.
