Fire destroyed the Uniontown, Pa., facility of Fayco Rentals last week. All of the onsite equipment, tools and party supplies were destroyed, as were the company’s paperwork and information stores on its computers. Co-owner Jack Young estimated the loss at more than $1 million.

After the fire on Saturday, March 6, the company was open for business on Monday, March 8, using an office trailer connected to a generator. The company, owned by six siblings, continued to operate thanks to equipment brought in from another branch and contributions of office equipment from local businesses.

Family members said the company intends to rebuild its facility as soon as insurance investigators give it the approval to clean up.
