Wirpro is a major supplier to Volvo Construction Equipment, which has its U.S. headquarters in nearby Shippensburg.

Wirpro general manager Eric Olson for North America said Wirpro will be investing $10 million to open the facility, which will hire staff from the surrounding areas.

Wirpro is based in Bangalore, India, and has 13 other manufacturing facilities across India, Sweden, Finland, Romania, Brazil and China. The company makes hydraulic cylinders used in material and cargo handling, construction and earthmoving, agriculture and mining equipment.
