RSC Holdings last week named David Brown to the company’s board of directors, replacing the recently resigned John Monsky.
Brown, 63, served most recently as president and CEO of Owens Corning, a global producer of residential and commercial building materials, glass-fiber reinforcements and engineered materials for composite systems, until retiring in 2007. During his 29 years at Owens Corning, Brown held various senior management positions, including serving as president of the Roofing and Asphalt, Building Materials Sales and Distribution, and Insulation divisions, eventually leading to his position as executive vice president and chief operating officer and finally president and CEO of Owens Corning.
“I am very pleased to welcome such an accomplished professional to our board,” said Erik Olsson, president and CEO of RSC Holdings. “We expect to benefit greatly from his operations, sales and marketing experience, as well as his perspectives as a former CEO, all of which make him a very valuable addition to our board.”
Brown currently serves on the boards of BorgWarner and Franklin Electric Co. Previously, he served on the board of Owens Corning.
RSC Holdings, based in Scottsdale, Ariz., is No. 2 on the RER 100.
