Vallejo Buys Fairfield Rental Center

FAIRFIELD, Calif - Vallejo Rent-All recently purchased Fairfield Rental Service, based here, owner Ted DeVries told RER. DeVries was part owner of Fairfield and bought out his partner, David Newkirk, who has retired.

"We'll probably turn it into our headquarters," said DeVries. "It's now the largest store in our company and the one with the most potential for growth." In addition to its general rental inventory, Fairfield sells ready-mix cement and landscaping materials such as rock and gravel.

Vallejo, Calif.-based Vallejo is No. 88 on the RER 100 with 1998 rental revenues of $7 million. It has nine branches - eight in California and one in Nevada.
