Mitsui Machinery Distribution changed its name to MMD Equipment, the company recently announced.
“Our new name will encompass our growing line of products and our renewed focus on customers, which are the overall goals of this company,” said Bill Hoffer, marketing manger for the Swedesboro, N.J.-based manufacturer and distributor. “The MMD Equipment name simply mirrors the changes our company is currently making.”
MMD is expanding its customer service center to help meet the growing needs of its customers, offering same-day shipping on thousands of in-stock service parts, available by phone or online. The company recently moved its corporate headquarters to add space for more inventory and services.
MMD offers Yanmar compact excavators, Airman air compressors and generators, and name-brand pumps and compaction equipment.
