TORREON, Mexico - Maquirent, one of Mexico's largest equipment rental companies, signed on as a JCB dealer in the states of Durango, Sinaloa and Baja California Sur, according to rental manager Jorge Perez.

Maquirent has 18 rental locations in Mexico. Perez said JCB offered additional states, but the Maquirent staff preferred to begin with three states and add more as its staff becomes familiar with the JCB line. "We want to take smaller steps the first year so that both of our companies learn to work with each other," Perez said.

Maquirent is owned by concrete equipment manufacturer Joper, which has 60 exclusive distributors in Mexico, three in the United States and eight in Central America.
