Komatsu America Inter-national has discontinued use of the "Dresser" trademark for its line of wheel loaders and crawler dozers. The new trademark is "Dressta."
The change resulted from the termination of the trademark license for the name "Dresser" on product lines, which is based on Dresser Industries technology. The change will not affect manufacturing of the machines.
The Dresser trademark will continue to be used for marketing and parts sales until Sept. 30, 2000, according to Komatsu America, based in Vernon Hills, Ill.
