HOUSTON — Pete Post, former president and chief operating officer of Prime Equipment, now operating as Rental Service Corp., has entered into a franchise agreement to own and operate Volvo CE Rents centers in the Houston metropolitan area. The first of three planned Post Rentals will open for business within the next few weeks.

“There are three major benefits attached to being an owner of a Volvo CE Rents franchise — the strength of the Volvo name, the comprehensive systems and operating support the company offers its franchises, and Volvo's financial strength,” Post said. “We intend to combine these advantages in a full-service rental operation that will ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction provided by the highly qualified staff we will bring into our organization, people with tremendous experience and trusted expertise in the equipment rental business. The equipment rental franchise model developed by Volvo CE Rents is unique in our industry and should prove to be extremely successful for those of us who wish to have our own personal business.”

In other Volvo Rents news, Volvo Construction Equipment Rents recently opened new independently owned Volvo CE Rents equipment rental centers in Woodstock, Ill., near Chicago, and Somerville, N.J.

ACF Equipment opened its first Volvo CE Rents center in the Chicago metropolitan area. Owned by Michael Garrard, the new Woodstock equipment rental center is an independently owned and operated Volvo Construction Equipment Rents franchise within the company's rental program.

CHL Equipment Corporation, whose principal, Carmen Renda, is a former construction contractor, has opened a Volvo CE Rents center in Somerville, N.J. The CHL Volvo rental center is the second Volvo CE Rents franchise in New Jersey; the first center was opened in Harrison in 2003.

The company also signed a franchise agreement for a new Volvo equipment rental center in Sacramento, Calif.

Capitol City Rentals entered into a Volvo CE Rents franchise agreement to own and operate independent Volvo CE Rents centers in the Sacramento metropolitan area. Greg Aguilera, president of Capitol City Rentals, has more than 20 years of experience in the rental market in the Sacramento area. Aguilera, the company's officers, and the company's shop, sales, and operations managerial staff have a combined 124 years experience in the equipment rental business in the city.
