Finland-based multi-national equipment rental giant Ramirent has signed an agreement with NSS Group AB to acquire its weather shelter and scaffolding division Dry Construction Concept (DCC). The DCC division is a leading provider of weather shelter solutions and scaffolding in Sweden, Finland and Denmark.

The DCC division has annual sales of about €16 million (approximately U.S. $21.8 million) and employs 120 people specialized in developing efficient weather shelter solutions and safe assembly of scaffolding. DCC’s customer base consists of large and mid-sized construction companies as well as industrial builders. Combined with Ramirent’s offerings, DCC will be able to add more value to its customers, Ramirent said.

“This transaction fortifies Ramirent’s position as a solution provider in all Nordic countries and differentiates us also as a one-stop shop also in weather shelter solutions,” said Magnus Rosen, CEO of Ramirent. “There are many operational synergies between the two companies and together we can take increased responsibility for coordination of scaffolding, access platforms, hoists and other services onsite and provide customers with safe products and solutions within weather shelters.”

Ramirent is based in Vantaa, near Helsinki, Finland, and has operations in 10 northern and central European countries.
