Leading construction equipment manufacturer JCB India said it has ventured into the hand tools and power tools segment, India’s Economic Times is reporting. JCB has entered into an agreement with leading hand and power tools manufacturers Groz Pvt Ltd. and Master Alloys Ltd. to manufacture, source and distribute JCB-branded tools, JCB India said in a statement.
The company said the entry into the segment was a part of brand extension. The range of power tools will include angle grinders, circular saws, planers, marble cutters, electric drills and rotary hammers.
JCB India has manufacturing facilities in Ballabgarh and Pune.
