The Selwood Group, a United Kingdom equipment rental company particularly strong in pump rentals, has acquired Proplant, a Welsh rental company. For Selwood, the deal is its second acquisition in two months, having recently acquired Glo Hire and Sales, based in England.

Selwood Group officials said the back-to-back purchases are not indicative of a plan to go on a major acquisition spree. Officials said the group plans to concentrate on integrating its new companies and doesn’t plan on acquiring more unless an extremely good opportunity presents itself.

The recent acquisition of Glo marks Selwood’s first entry into the aerial rental business.

Proplant was founded in 2001 and has four branches in Wales. Proplant founders Glyn Charles and Paul Roswell will continue with the company.
