Ingersoll Rand to Acquire Officine Meccaniche Industriali

Ingersoll Rand Company Limited last week announced that it has signed an agreement to purchase privately owned Officine Meccaniche Industriali srl , a European provider of compressed-air treatment equipment. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Ingersoll Rand Company Limited last week announced that it has signed an agreement to purchase privately owned Officine Meccaniche Industriali srl , a European provider of compressed-air treatment equipment. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

OMI develops and manufactures a complete line of compressed-air treatment products, including air dryers, filters, chillers and system controllers, that maximize the productivity and reliability of compressed air systems for a variety of industrial and manufacturing applications. Founded in 1989, OMI is based in northeast Italy in Fogliano Redipuglia, Gorizia Province, and has an additional facility in Logatec, Slovenia.

“The acquisition of OMI reflects our intention to build upon one of our core business platforms relating to industrial productivity,” said Herbert Henkel, chairman, president and CEO of Ingersoll Rand.

Upon completion of the acquisition, which is scheduled for later this month, OMI will operate as part of the Air Solutions business of Ingersoll Rand’s Industrial Technologies Sector.
