Cramo Signs Strategic Partnership with Major Scaffolding Provider

Giant European rental group Cramo has signed an agreement with Europe’s leading scaffolding supplier Layher GmbH, based in Germany.

Giant European rental group Cramo has signed an agreement with Europe’s leading scaffolding supplier Layher GmbH, based in Germany.

“Steel scaffolding rental is important and growing business for us, especially in Sweden, Finland and the Baltic countries,” said Martin Holmgren, vice president of fleet management and equipment rental. “We are quickly introducing this operation also in our other markets. The agreement with Layher offers our customers an easy access to the widest assortment of steel scaffolding in the market, for example, Allround scaffolding systems, façade scaffolding, façade scaffolding with temporary boards, tower scaffolding, circular scaffolding, birdcage scaffolding, suspended scaffolding, mobile scaffolding units, etc. Cramo will gain an access to a specialized software program for dimensioning, layout planning and calculation of most appropriate scaffolding solutions for each customer project. Standard and compatible groupwide scaffolding systems will in time improve coordination and efficiency at Cramo.”

“We are already supplying Cramo Finland in selected regions, but this agreement opens up Cramo’s entire market for us in Finland, Sweden and the Baltic countries, and over time also the other markets in the Cramo Group,” said Margot Hofmann, sales manager at Layher International.

First deliveries will be made in May.

Based in Helsinki, Finland, Cramo operates in 15 countries with about 400 branches.
